Raj Punjabi’s career spans industries from airlines and healthcare to web design and digital marketing. Originally from India, he trained in radiology after moving to the U.S. and worked for years as an X-ray technician, including time at NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County. Now semi-retired, Raj continues to apply his web design and digital marketing skills while pursuing his passion for social work and community service.
His involvement with the Community Advisory Board (CAB) began after attending a meeting at the invitation of the NYC Comptroller. Inspired by the CAB’s mission, Raj aims to be a bridge between the hospital and the surrounding community – raising awareness, encouraging involvement, advocating for others, and improving healthcare access.
For Raj, helping others is the most meaningful accomplishment. Whether he is organizing a breast cancer awareness event at a local temple, or assisting an ill woman on the roadside, he remains committed to service.
