At NYC Health + Hospitals/Woodhull, your voice matters. That’s why we created the Patient and Family Advisory Council (PFAC)—a group of patients, family members, and staff working together to improve the care experience for everyone who walks through our doors.

We know that the best ideas often come from those who’ve lived it. Whether you’re a patient or a loved one supporting someone in care, your perspective can make a difference. PFAC members help us understand what truly matters—so we can deliver care that’s not just clinically excellent, but compassionate, respectful, and responsive to individual needs.

What You Can Expect as a PFAC Member

Being part of PFAC means joining a community that believes care is better when we create it together. As a member, you’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Share Your Story – Your experiences can help guide how we care for our community.
  •  Help Shape Decisions – Offer input on hospital policies, services, and priorities to make care more patient- and family-centered.
  • Work in Partnership – Collaborate with staff who truly want to listen and grow with you.
  •  Be a Change-Maker – Play a part in making things better for all patients, now and in the future.
