Your care at NYC Health + Hospitals may result in a facility/hospital bill and a separate bill from the physician for professional or specialty related services.
The hospital bill consists of services related to the facility for the care that you received. The hospital bill may include the procedure, diagnostic services, supplies, equipment and/or room charges used during your stay.
(This is known as the technical or facility bill).
Depending on your provider (e.g. Medical Doctor, Physician Assistant, Nurse Practitioner) and the services you received, you may receive a separate bill for the work performed by the individual provider. This bill will include charges for your professional, specialty, dental and pharmacy consultation or treatment services.
