Nearly 100 nursing home residents celebrated the launch of the café

As part of the Center to Advance Palliative Care’s Tipping Point Challenge, clinicians across medical specialties are encouraged to enhance their skills to care for seriously ill patients, including communication, pain management, opioid prescribing, symptom management, and dementia care

Highlights include opening the new $923 million Ruth Bader Ginsburg Hospital on the campus of NYC Health + Hospitals/South Brooklyn Health; answering the need for asylum seeker care and services; and investing in loan repayment for behavioral health staff

Certification recognizes “Excellence in Person-Centered Care,” which improves staff, patient and family engagement while delivering better patient outcomes, lower rates of staff burnout, and lower costs of care delivery
