The new works are born from months-long engagement with NYC Health + Hospitals gun violence prevention and interruption programs and those intimately affected by the trauma

All are welcome to help paint the murals

The free program is available to patients expecting a child or with young children at three NYC Health + Hospitals facilities

The artists will design the murals in collaboration with patients, staff, and neighborhood residents, followed by community “paint parties” to create the mural

The award will support arts programs serving healthcare staff, patients, and communities in patient care sites across the city
