Emergency Care
Those with new chest pain, shortness of breath or other heart-related symptoms should seek
immediate medical attention at our emergency room. South Brooklyn Health is a Certified
Percutaneous Intervention Coronary (PCI) Center. Our team of emergency care physicians, nurses, and cardiologists can quickly evaluate and determine that those suspected of having a heart attack are directly taken for a minimally invasive procedure called Coronary Angiogram. Recovery can occur in our nine-bed Critical Care Unit and five-bed Coronary Recovery Unit, overseen by our cardiologist and fellow cardiologist staff.
A specialized team of cardiologists and nurses are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, to
take care of you promptly in these medical emergencies.
Follow-up Care
We offer outpatient cardiology services to patients discharged from the hospital for follow-up and cardiac consultation services. We also provide comprehensive outpatient cardiac rehab for our patients. We have a network of heart specialists and cardiologists to support our patients needing revascularization – a procedure used to restore blood flow to part of your heart when that flow is limited or blocked.
Our Team
Our team of cardiologists and heart specialists are board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Whether you want information about our award-winning medical care or the outstanding educational opportunities in our highly competitive fellowship training programs, we are proud of what we offer.
