Hello, my name is Dr. Maggie Tetrokalashvili. I am the Chairwoman of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at NYC Health + Hospitals/South Brooklyn Health.

Allow me to WELCOME you to our Department.

We provide the highest quality of patient and family centered care to a very diverse community and women from around the world. We are nationally recognized level two maternity care baby friendly facility and the referral center for the most complicated Obstetrical and Gynecological cases that bring diverse pathology and offer excellent training to our prospective residents.

Safety is one of the key values of the entire organization and is very close to our heart.

Hospital administration is dedicated to promotion of resident education.

The residency training is integrated with strong midwifery and physician assistant programs and is nurtured by the most experienced nursing and support staff.

We have phenomenal faculty committed to patient care, classroom and bedside teaching of residents and medical students, as well as clinical research.

The program offers formal mentorship and robust simulation training in general OB/GYN, as well as all subspecialties, including maternal fetal medicine with ultrasound training, reproductive endocrinology and infertility, urogynecology, pelvic reconstructive surgery, and GYN oncology, as well as family planning.

We have an excellent minimally invasive surgical team working towards the goal of becoming a center of GYN excellence with resident exposure to the latest technologies and techniques.

South Brooklyn Health Hospital is part of NYC Health + Hospitals, one of the largest healthcare systems in the nation, and our residents have the opportunity to rotate in our sister hospitals for additional clinical training and exposure to the best specialists in the field.

The goal of our program is to train future physicians and leaders in the field of OB/GYN capable of providing outstanding patient care.
