They provide a sanctuary for staff to destress while at work and for staff to take a moment to care for themselves. Wellness rooms are a permanent fixture demonstrating NYC Health + Hospitals’ investment and commitment to workforce wellness. These spaces ensure that our employees focus on their own needs in order to meet the needs of the patient populations they serve,” said Jeremy Segall, MA, RDT, LCAT, FPCC, NYC Health + Hospitals Assistant Vice President and System Chief Wellness Officer

“Our goal is to create an environment that fosters relaxation and rejuvenation, providing our employees with a much-needed respite from their demanding work,”said NYC Health + Hospitals/Gotham Health Chief of Infrastructure and Support Services Officer, Roman Ryniewski. “The wellness room project underscores our commitment to enhancing the workplace experience and supporting our team.”

The results are remaking these neutral spaces into art- and nature-filled zones to recharge and relax, and we are excited to see the project evolve with a life of its own now that the doors are open.”
