The New York State of Health Marketplace is a place where you can shop for, compare and enroll in health insurance coverage on your own.
The New York State of Health Marketplace is a website that allows you to:

- Compare different health insurances
- Enroll in health insurance
Health Insurance Enrollment and Human Resources Administration/Local Department of Social Services
If you are uninsured and age 65 or older, blind or disabled, you will need to apply for insurance coverage through the Human Resources Administration or your Local Department of Social Services. Your application can be submitted electronically through the Access HRA App or it may be submitted in person at an HRA office, https://www.nyc.gov/site/hra/locations/locations.page.
For assistance completing an application you may call HRA at 1-888-692-6116, or speak with an NYC Health+ Hospitals financial counselor at 1(844) 692-4692 and select option 3.
MetroPlusHealth
MetroPlusHealth is NYC Health + Hospitals’ health insurance plan. It provides low or no-cost health insurance coverage for adults, children and families. MetroPlusHealth offers special insurance plans for NYC Health + Hospitals employees, people with HIV, and individuals who need long-term care.
NYC Care
NYC Care is a health care access program that guarantees low-cost and no-cost services to New Yorkers who do not qualify for or cannot afford health insurance.
