NYC Health and Hospitals supports Green initiatives with paperless billing!
If you have a MyChart account with NYC Health + Hospitals, you are no longer receiving a paper bill in the mail. When a new statement is ready and when your balance has changed, we will send you a text message and/or email to let you know.
You can check your bill on the NYC Health + Hospitals MyChart website or on the MyChart App available on the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
Here’s how to find your bill on MyChart:
- Go to Billing Summary from the main menu bar
- Click on View Balance Details
You can “opt-out of paperless billing” in the Billing Summary section of MyChart to receive paper statements.
Introducing Hello World
Hello World is Epic’s communication platform that enables us to connect with patients using SMS, significantly improving response times and the overall patient experience. Research from Epic has shown that patients are seven times more likely to respond to text messages than emails, which makes SMS an effective tool for time-sensitive communications such as bill payments.
Key Feature of Hello World Balance Updates and New Statements:
- Self-Service Options: Patients can take actions like making payments, setting up payment plans, or applying for financial assistance through a link sent via SMS, which directs them to MyChart. This service is available for both MyChart and non-MyChart patients.
Messages will be sent Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., excluding holidays. Below are the types of communication templates that will be used:
