Resident salary is determined by the collective bargaining agreement set forth by CIR/SEIU and NYCHHC.
Residents are entitled to a sign-on bonus, meal allowance ($3500/year), and yearly salary increases as outlined below*:

Additionally through CIR/SEIU, residents are entitled to the following benefits*:
Childcare Benefit: $3500/year †
Continuing Learning Program: $1500/3 years (may be used towards conferences and courses) †
Professional Educational Plan: $750/year (may be used towards scrubs, stethoscopes, electronic devices such as phones, etc.) – if unused, transferrable to the following academic year †
CIR Legal Services: immigration, problems related to housing issues/landlord etc. †
Free on-site parking at JMC (reimbursed)
