Inpatient Rehabilitation Services
Metropolitan’s Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit offers state-of-the-art acute rehabilitation for patients recovering from serious medical conditions, surgery, or injury. The unit receives referrals from hospitals across New York City and is certified by the Uniform Data System for Medical Rehabilitation (UDSmr). Each patient receives a personalized rehabilitation plan to improve mobility, strength, and daily functioning.
Outpatient Rehabilitation Services
Outpatient Rehabilitation Services at Metropolitan Hospital provide therapy for patients returning to the community after hospitalization, as well as those referred directly from within Metropolitan Hospital for timely access, reducing wait times and ensuring continuity of care. Our patients work with therapy specialists to achieve individualized goals through physical, occupational, and speech therapy. Care within our clinic is coordinated from initial assessment through ongoing treatment and follow-up, with plans tailored to each patient’s needs.
Specialized Clinical Services
Metropolitan Hospital offers advanced rehabilitation for patients with neurological conditions, including spasticity clinics. Treatment options include:
- Custom orthotic prescriptions
- Chemo-denervation with onabotulinumtoxin A
