NYC Health + Hospitals/Metropolitan provides coordinated pediatric and adolescent health services for newborns, infants, children, adolescents, and young adults across inpatient and outpatient settings. Primary and Preventive Pediatric Care

Through primary and preventive pediatric care at Metropolitan Hospital, children and adolescents receive routine well-child visits, immunizations, growth and developmental screenings, school and sports physicals, and management of common childhood illnesses. Our care teams work closely with families to support healthy development and address behavioral, nutritional, and social needs.

Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics

Specialized pediatric services at Metropolitan Hospital support children with developmental delays, learning differences, behavioral challenges, and complex medical needs. Our multidisciplinary teams provide evaluation, care coordination, and referrals to community and educational resources, including services aligned with Individualized Educational Programs.

Pediatric Subspecialty Care

Metropolitan Hospital offers access to a broad range of pediatric subspecialties, including pediatric neurology, allergy and immunology, infectious disease, urology, endocrinology, and pulmonary care. These services support children with conditions such as asthma, endocrine disorders, neurologic conditions, recurrent or complex infections, urologic concerns, and chronic respiratory disease.

Metropolitan Hospital provides advanced care for newborns through its Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, recognized for excellence in patient safety and quality outcomes. Our pediatric inpatient services ensure continuity of care for hospitalized children, with close coordination between inpatient teams and outpatient providers.
