What is family planning? Family planning helps women and couples plan their families. Women have the right to decide how many children to have. Women also have the right to choose when to start a family. We help women by providing access to affordable reproductive health exams and contraceptive methods. Our high quality services include sexual health education, screening, and testing. Emergency contraception is available too.
Our mission is to provide women and adolescents with full access to family planning services. These services are confidential. We offer high quality reproductive health care choices. Visit us on the first floor in Women’s Health Services in 1A2. We are here to help women maintain a healthy reproductive life.

Family planning services include:
- Free condoms
- Birth control methods
- Sexually transmitted infection screening and treatment
- HIV counseling and testing
- Plan B (morning after pill)
- Referrals to specialized doctors as needed
- Referrals to local community organizations
- Pregnancy tests
- Health promotion and education on sexual health
The cost is based on a patient’s income. If you do not have insurance, we have a program to help you apply for health insurance. You may be eligible for other health insurance such as Medicaid. If you do not qualify or cannot afford health insurance, you may qualify for NYC Health + Hospitals Options – a free or discount payment plan to make our health care services affordable for you and your family.
