Ms. Vanessa Rodriguez brings 20 years of expertise to the dynamic and ever-evolving healthcare industry. With a strong background in public health, human services, and social services, she has provided guidance and support to diverse populations. Her experience spans healthcare settings such as health centers, social service organizations, schools, and hospitals within high-risk communities. Ms. Rodriguez is dedicated to patient-centered care, ensuring high-quality healthcare delivery. Her areas of expertise include HIV Counseling & Testing, PrEP, HIV Primary Care, Case Management, Program Development, Performance Improvement, and Quality Leadership.

Since joining Urban Health Plan (UHP) in February 2011 as the HIV Coordinator, Ms. Rodriguez has advanced to the role of Director of Performance Improvement, HIV & PrEP Services for UHPs Institute for the Advancement of Community Health (IACH). Under the leadership of the IACHs Chief Quality & Social Impact Program Officer, she leads performance improvement initiatives designed to enhance clinical and operational outcomes, ensuring UHP continued success in serving its community. Additionally, she oversees UHPs HIV Testing, PrEP, and Primary Care programs.

Ms. Rodriguez plays a key role in UHPs performance improvement initiatives, including Depression and Substance Abuse Screening, Women’s Health Services, Cancer Screenings, and HIV Testing, PrEP, and Primary Care services. Her leadership in performance improvement has led to two published reports: a 2016 publication in Public Health Reports (PHR), the official journal of the U.S. Public Health Service and the U.S. Surgeon General, and a 2014 report in the Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report (MMWR), published by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

In addition to her expertise, Ms. Rodriguez has presented program outcomes and data-driven results at numerous national and international conferences, including the U.S. Conference on AIDS, NYC RING, NACHC Community Health Institute (CHI) & Expo, CHCANYS Annual Conference, Gilead FOCUS Partner Summit, and the XIX International AIDS Conference.

Ms. Rodriguez earned her undergraduate degree from The College of New Rochelle in New York and is committed to furthering her education in healthcare leadership.
