Any patient, family member, visitor, guest, or other individual can report concerns about safety or the quality of care to The Joint Commission, without fear of retaliatory, disciplinary, or punitive action from NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi.
Any individual who provides care, treatment, and services can report concerns about safety or the quality of care to The Joint Commission without retaliatory action from NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi.
- The hospital educates its staff and medical staff that any employee, physician, or other individual who provides care, treatment, or services and who has concerns about the safety or quality of care provided in the organization may report these concerns to The Joint Commission.
- The hospital informs its staff and medical staff that it will take no disciplinary or punitive action because an employee, physician. or other individual who provides care, treatment, and services reports safety or quality-of-care concerns to The Joint Commission.
- The Hospital takes no disciplinary or punitive action against employees, physicians, or other individuals who provide care, treatment, and services when they report safety or quality-of-care concerns to The Joint Commission.
