A native New Yorker, Pauline Lock has always believed that community is what makes us stronger. Inspired early on by mentors who emphasized advocacy and volunteerism, she has continued to carry those values throughout her personal and professional life. As a director at a leading fashion manufacturer and a member of the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA), Pauline continues to prioritize community engagement.

Her decision to join the Community Advisory Board (CAB) was deeply personal. A close mentor introduced her to the opportunity, and it felt like a full-circle moment. Her father was a longtime resident at NYC Health + Hospitals/Gouverneur, and serving on the CAB is Pauline’s way of giving back to the institution that supported her family so meaningfully.

One of the most impactful aspects of her service has been witnessing how the CAB helps shape senior care to meet the evolving needs of the community. For Pauline, community is more than a concept—it’s a source of inspiration. She thinks about every patient who leaves healed and every family beginning their journey. Whether supporting staff or advocating for positive change, Pauline is committed to ensuring that NYC Health + Hospitals/Gouverneur continues to provide compassionate, high-quality care for generations to come.
