Alyse has spent her career in senior leadership roles in organizations that span the non-profit spectrum including healthcare, biomedical research, government and higher education. Alyse started her career in the NYC Department of Health, holding roles in both program and financial management. She also spent several years managing medical services at the original North General Hospital before moving to the Mount Sinai School of Medicine as the Associate Affiliation Administrator for the Queens Health Network.
Alyse then spent 10 years as Deputy Commissioner for Administration for the Westchester County Health Department, where she was responsible for the administrative operations of the agency including finance, human resources, grants, contracts, facilities, information technology, emergency preparedness and compliance. She went on to serve in several leadership roles during a 6-year tenure with the Howard Hughes Medical Institute, a world-renowned biomedical research foundation and the largest private funder of science education in the United States. Alyse is currently providing consulting services to assist small non-profit organizations to develop sustainable financial and operational infrastructures. She is also a volunteer fitness instructor in the NYC Parks Department’s ShapeUp program.
Alyse earned her bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Maryland and received her master’s degree in Health Services Administration from Hunter College.
