Group 11 – Management Benefit Fund (MBF)
Group 11 titles do not have prescription coverage through MBF. When selecting your medical coverage, you will have the option to add prescription coverage at a per-paycheck cost.
Enrollment into MBF grants Managerial Group 11 employees access to vision, dental, and basic life insurance. Newly hired employees will receive a MBF welcome package via email. If you would like to enroll, you must complete all documents and follow the instructions for submission indicated in the email.

Please note, the MBF Group Number for dental is V53 and for vision, it is #6054.
Group 12 – Union Benefits
Most Group 12 titles have a union that provides vision, dental, and prescription coverage once enrolled. Employees must contact their union directly to enroll and use the benefits. If a union does not offer prescription coverage, employees may add an optional prescription rider at a per-paycheck cost.

Video Display Terminal Program
VDT stands for Video Display Terminal. Many City employees regularly spend twenty (20) hours or more per week using Video Display Terminals (VDTs) and as a result, may experience visual symptoms, such as eyestrain. Often, eyestrain can be reduced by simple changes to the work area. For example, screens and copy should be placed side-by-side, slightly below eye level, and screen brightness and contrast should be properly adjusted. In some cases, eyeglasses prescribed specifically for use at a VDT may also be helpful.
The Group Number for VDT is 068.
The PICA Program covers medications in two specific drug categories:
